It's standard for the "start curses" escape sequence for a terminal type to
include the "set cursor keys to application mode" and the "set keypad keys
to application mode" sequences.  Likewise, the "stop curses" sequence will
include the reverse.  So, any program that uses curses (or emulates the
behaviour) will do this.
