 That is exactly what you said above.

 And I have no intention to break compatibility. Therefore WCOWORK was
born. It is a NEW _optional_ mode of operation in the AES, where the
WORK area of windows have focus, not the FULL area. Applications  that
support and USE this mode will not suffer from old restrictions caused
by wind_calc() and faulty usage of it.
