Re: [MiNT] Menu behaviour: difference between 'pull' and 'push'?

'push' means you have to click on the menubar to open a menu, 'pull' is
the standard-behaviour. It works here on aranym.

No, for me 'leave' gives me the standard GEM behaviour (no need to click

Actually 'leave' has no effect (see below).

'push': You click on the menubar, menu opens, move mouse over the menu and
click again on the item to select.
'pull' Same without the first click.

Does not work for me like this at all with XaAES 1.1.24 Beta. See above.

What if you move the mouse left/right a few times over the menubar? Does it open (menu=pull)?

I think this is ok, and can not think of another solution.

It would probably be if it worked ;-)

At startup it acts different - this seems to be a bug (I hoped no one would notice ;))

'leave' = 'pull'

Why is there three options in xaaes.cnf if 2 of them are the same? Quote:
"<string> can be 'pull', 'push' or 'leave'"

leave (and nolocking) is nonsense - should be removed:

/home/hk/mymint/xaaes/src.km#grep -n cfg.menu_behave *.c
cnf_xaaes.c:819:                        cfg.menu_behave = PULL;
cnf_xaaes.c:821:                        cfg.menu_behave = PUSH;
cnf_xaaes.c:823:                        cfg.menu_behave = LEAVE;
k_mouse.c:652: if (cfg.menu_behave != PUSH && !menustruct_locked() && !C.ce_open_menu) k_mouse.c:662: if (/* cfg.menu_behave != PUSH && */
