Yes, this sounds plausible. Try switching the cursor off. IIRC this can be
done by printing an Escape-sequence in mint.cnf. I'm sorry I don't remember
the details, you'll have to look it up.
How do you start fVDI? I don't have a CT60/Radeon, but an Afterburner
with
Eclipse/Rage and fVDI, and I need to use NVDI as well when using XaAES.

Yes. I don't recall the exact problems right now. It worked with older
versions (around 2000-2001, when I used the Eclipse), but doesn't work with
current kernels.
