Funny thing is: I get this on aranym sometimes too: Alt goes away by Alt
- Shift sometimes, and the key-repeat never, but the latter is something
else I assume.

The locked Alt happens when I quit XaAES with Alt-Q and don't release
the Alt-key fast enough, i.e. when Alt is pressed while the shell that
started XaAES gets control.
I have no keyboard problems on my Milan. I do suffer from the occasional
stuck Alt or Control, but only with my homemade Atari->PS/2-adapter so I
won't blame MiNT ;-) On the Milan, TOS-routines are used for the actual
interaction with the hardware. To me, this suggests that the problem
most likely is related to the IKBD-handler in the kernel.

some people wont think this post is relavent, but I am seeing a
pattern here, but am unsure where it leads.

I have had the exact same problem with an MSX emulator. Both key
repeats and sticky shift keys.

The pattern seems to be related to keyboard handler, or keyboard
(emulator) timing.

Is this ever known to have sticky keys or repeating keys on a standard
Atari ST/STe/Falcon?

Also, I understand why I may be getting the problem, and wounder if it
is also a related issue for others, and that is the use of extended
characters or key tables (eg using " + e to get an e with double dots,
etc where " + space gets you the actual " character)

Also note, use latest (helmut) kernel/xaaes (and maybe combo with
Alans hex patch, for CT)

cheers

Paul

Yeah, i have sometimes sticky key on my Falcon. Not sure what
key it is, but it also stops when i press another.
