I'm sorry that I didn't read your mail more carefully. I didn't realise
that you did transport files with diskettes and wanted to read VFAT
diskettes directly into your Atari.

Floppy disks isn't a particulary good data media (at least I think so) and
I don't care that much if it supports long filenames or not. There's so
much trouble with floppies anyway, so I don't bother if I have to rename
all files anyway (I usually use zip, gzip, arj and/or tar when I transport
files on floppies; that way I can protect the long filenames from being
destroyed by the utterly useles FAT file system). Please excuse me if I
assumed that everyone else in the world thinks the same about floppy disks
as I do...
