I agree on this one. I wouldn't even bother to look for "sparemint" as
I know it only has RPMs. It is sad though having to add atari to any
search terms but that cannot be changed in the near future.

I personally would also see to split projects into their own
repositories. "freemint-os" as mentioned should be the bare
distribution, tools should get their own repo.

Beside that I personally hooray for any move away from CVS and toward
modern tools. Port git to the Atari if necessary instead of relying
on an outdated versioning system.
