Hello.

I'm proud to announce that the official mintv4e.prg now runs perfectly
on ColdFire evaluation boards.
Get it as usual in the daily trunk archive:
http://www.freemint.org/builds/freemint/

You will need EmuTOS >= 20160606, preferably the 0.9.7 release which
will be available in a few weeks.

No special configuration is required.

Run EmuTOS as you prefer:
- from dBUG and TFTP server
- directly from flash with Bas_gcc

Then setup FreeMiNT as usual: mintv4e.prg in AUTO folder, MINT.CNF, etc.
It is recommended to run bash from the INIT= configuration line.
You will get a working bash prompt in the remote serial terminal. Ready
to run ColdFire MiNT executables.

Supported features:

Brought by EmuTOS, also available to FreeMiNT:
- RS-232 console for text I/O (no graphics)
- CompactFlash card for mass storage
- 14 MB ST-RAM + 46 MB FastRAM
- optional PS/2 keyboard with Eiffel/CAN adapter

Brought by FreeMiNT:
- Ethernet support through FEC.XIF (requires BaS_gcc and BASCOOK.PRG)

The OpenSSH server works nicely on such setup, we can connect from
remote machines and run ColdFire MiNT software.

EmuTOS and FreeMiNT for ColdFire evaluation boards was my own effort. By
chance, at the same time, Markus Fröschle ported BaS_gcc and FEC.XIF to
that hardware. The result is a very nice and fast headless FreeMiNT
machine, ready to act as network server.
For my side, I consider this project as over.

Enjoy :-D
