Possibly because the process that started XaAES had changed tty-mode before due to mintlib?
It's the same when XaAES is started from a unix-shell.
I think changing TosWin2 to add LF seems like the right approach.
Did you mean add CR?That brute-force-solution would have a major impact on toswin-behaviour, and thus should be in snapshots for some time, not in next week's-release.
