doooh.  I hadn't realised that the spec had created an srpm in the
redhat/SRPM folder.

I am now turning to libtiff, that looks a bit more complicated.
There are several large patch files in the sparemint version. I
removed them and was able to build the latest code but I don't know
if this is the right thing to do. Should I spend time going through
the old patches and trying to work out if the patches are still needed ?
