Have a look at that thread on c.s.a.st  I learned a lot from the discussion.


This tool:

http://koala.ilog.fr/cgi-bin/nph-colas-modelines

can be used to generate modelines to over-ride the various resolutions
default settings.

This is my MVDI.CNF  I am not sure what driver version I am using,
I'll check when I next re-boot:
