It's not code sharing, it's a real device that is used for blocking I/O.

This is nothing strange, this is well defined behaviour. Fselect without
any filedescriptors is just a timeout.

Alternativly you can setup an alarmtimer and do a Pause(), but the Fselect
is much more easier :-)
