Virtual memory and Memory protection are very serious and useful
concepts.

Since MINT can be used as a multiuser environment, you need memory
protection.

A badly coded program must die gratefully without data loss or taking
down the whole system with it.

As I told in a previous message, Memory Protection and Virtual Memory
are hand-to-hand features. If you want VM, the cost for doing protection
aswell is negigible.

And I have never ever seen a bug free program :).

Using a SCSI drive, perhaps 4-6 seconds :). Less if you have a new
device and wide scsi :).
