Couple of quick observations ... 1. It appears that FTRUNCATE/FUTIMES are still 'unofficial'. 2. The FS_* stuff in unifs, presumably minixfs could do something similar to allow any minixfs to be mounted on any minixfs directory, though maybe that's better off in the kernel (to avoid code duplication) at least for non FS_KNOPARSE and non-network filesystems.
