Exactly what I was currently writing!

People, it's time to create a personal GitHub account (if not already done). 
Then MiKRO will give you the rights to contribute (if not already 
world-writable).

This is how FreeMiNT will revive: by allowing contributions from anyone, 
with modern and easy tools. And the documentation is a good starting point.
