Hm. Rather strange approach they took there. A  compiler that does not produce 
executables for the target (you have to manually call an additional program to 
convert the output), that needs lots of extra switches and environment 
variables to work, and that does not support the multilib directory structure 
anymore is calling for lots of troubles. And it is also unsuitable for 
compiling other standard packages.
