Depends on the size of the partition, and your CPU/IO-speed. On my TT a  
checking 16GB-drive takes about 10-15 minutes. A sector-check (-c) takes  
hours. e2fsck should print what it's doing by default. You can add set -x  
in the script to see what it does.
