Guess he means /<drive> has no . and no .., while e.g. /bin has. This
could indeed lead to some minor trouble.

/<drive> has . and .. in Thing.

In only see .. - thing seems to add it itself. But do cd /c; ls -a in toswin: there is no . nor .. .
