A potential reason for people not using it more could be that it hasn't been announced publically.

Even though it is in beta, why not make it an "official beta", and post information about it on the forums around the globe? (I sure want to publish information about it + installation instructions on the Swedish Users Association website, for example). Also, in the Atari world, there are a lot of users which you never hear from! I'm fairly sure more people are using it already, because the whole thing is just awesome.
