And could you explain please why a pm is forced to install in /usr/bin?

Why is it harder?

How do I know it's from rpm? Also typing the filename is faster, rpm -qf Full_Path/File just sucks!

So you say yourself only experienced users should use package-managers.

I will never put any GEM-app in /usr/bin. Period.
