[MiNT] Christmas release ?? :-)

Hi folks,

So I think a Christmas release is in order. Don't you ? 

It'd certainly be a nice prezzie for lots of people.

So onto the final bugs....

1. select bug reported by Ole. Waiting for feedback on patch I sent.
2. shutdown bug ? Is this resolved ?
3. Documentation - are we happy with what's currently on the wiki ?
4. I'm going to ship exactly how it is in the current tarballs. Any
updates people think should be done to these - let me know.
5. Have I missed anything ?
6. Oh yes, I have, ensure we get the README updated with any relevant
snippets of what changed in the release. It'd be good for people to have
a troll through the Changelog and see if they see anything prominent
that should be mentioned and send in some text.
7. A big thank you to Frank Naumann for all his work throughout the
years!
