Config.sys is the same since 1.15.1, I haven't touched it and my 
last backup shows the file itself is the same.  It has always
worked fine, until now, anyhow.

The bootup messages shown that METAXBS.PRG installs the CD-ROM as
a BIOS device B (which is what I have always had).

What should show, but doesn't, is the SPIN.XFS message that it
just installed device B as drive Q.

Btw, the reason I never noticed it before is, CDP still finds the
CD_ROM drive and I can still listen to audio CD's.  It's only
today, when I tried accessing a data CD, that I noticed something
was wrong.
