[MiNT] Another problem while using ext2fs

Although the cnews problem appears to be straight-forward, another problem
has appeared while using the ext2fs. Simply, it is not possible to load
any GEM program using N.AES when it resides on a ext2 partition. For
example if I put QED onto a Minix partition and double click on it from
the Thing desktop it loads without any problem, but if I put it onto a
ext2 partition it will not load. The same problem happens whether I load
it by double clicking on it in Thing, or if N.AES itself loads the program
via a run command in the n_aes.cnf file.

However a GEM program will load without a problem from an ext2 partition
if I load it from a shell. For example if I have logged into a virtual
console while N.AES is running I can load a GEM program from an ext2
partition in the shell, and it runs under N.AES without a problem. But I
cannot start that program using N.AES, as explained above.

Does that make some sense to anyone? Is it just me, or does nobody else
load GEM programs on an ext2 filesystem? Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
