We all know that Newdesk is unable to set environment-variables, but there
are plenty of autofolder-tools that does this. Even some bootselectors can
set environment-variables. Don't make a big problem out of this.
If you don't like $HOME, then simply don't set it. You apparently have no
use for per-user configurations anyway.
