vconsoles & GCC 2.8.1

Hi,

I can't compile correct version of vconsoles with the latest GCC 2.8.1
and MiNTlibs pl48. The resulting binary is about 10 kB longer than the
binary compiled with my previous setup (GCC 2.7.2.3, MiNTlib version I
don't remember). Worse is that the vconsd does not work correctly - it
blocks all keyboard input for all applications, so the system is dead.

I have spent several hours by total recompiling of MiNTlibs to ensure I
use the correct version of libraries with my current compiler setup. It
didn't help.

Don't you have an idea where the problem could be? Perhaps it links with
a wrong version of lib. The vconsd is compiled with "-mshort -mpcrel"
and linked with "-G -mshort". It links with "libgnu16.a" (just checked).
Is that OK?

It is very annoying since I've been working on a new version of
vconsoles with NOVA support. Now I can't continue with the work :-/

Please help.

Petr
