List archive

Ok, I've updated the cron job on phlem now, there are currently 3 lists that
it archives:

        1: ~ftp/pub/MiNT/lists/MiNT-list.tar.gz
        2: ~ftp/pub/MiNT/lists/Gem-conventions.tar.gz
        3: ~ftp/pub/MiNT/lists/Atari-Xwin.tar.gz

(1) is this list we all know and love.
(2) is the GEM conventions list that Ofir is setting up/has set up.
(3) is the 'let's get X working on the ST' list.

These are just tar archives of my Mail subdirectories. They are compressed
using gzip with -9 selected (highest compression).

(2) and (3) are of fairly low traffic at the moment.

Additionally there are 3 other files:

	1: ~ftp/pub/MiNT/lists/MiNT-list.txt.gz
	2: ~ftp/pub/MiNT/lists/Gem-conventions.txt.gz
	3: ~ftp/pub/MiNT/lists/Atari-Xwin.txt.gz

which are basically the Subject: lines from the mail messages archived together
with the number of the message they refer to. They are compressed with gzip
using -9 compression. The routine to generate these files automatically is
pretty brain-dead, so I'm not 100% sure that each Subject line is correct, but
with ~1400 messages in the MiNT list, I'm not going to go through checking
<grin>. It seems to work.

The lists are updated every night at 11.30 local time. Of course I have to read
anything before it goes in, so when I'm not here, things will go astray.

Anyway, hope this is useful to someone :-)

Simon.
