The reason I killed the update daemon and went to addroottimeout()  was to
bypass the Falcon/TT crash with Multitos. It was impossible for me to
diagnose the problem myself so compared to the alternative of it not
working at all I scrapped the daemon.
	The -36 problem I would suggest is MiNT at fault, if a filesystem
or device driver can schedule things to be done with addroottimeout() it
is quite likely it will need root  privs.
